We took a very pregnant Heaven in from an Ohio shelter where her future was uncertain. The pups arrived (10 of them!) shortly after she settled in at NCCR and when they were old enough, they went to their new homes, but there was little interest in Heaven; she was just waiting for the home that she now has!
From her family: “She has fit in very well. She’s super sweet and craves affection. She likes to sit on the porch and watch the ducks and geese in the pond. She really bonded with our younger dog Gotham. She’s also fine with all the farm animals. We have free range chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl. She’s also met several of our horses and she showed a lot of interest in them. She has no problem sleeping; she snores sometimes, lol. We love her very much. I wish we could read her mind and knew what she’s thinking. She seems super happy waging her tail. Btw, thank you for saving her. She’s very special.”
Heaven, now Ivy was adopted April 8, 2020.
