of the Kids
We'd like you to meet some of our "alumni"
dogs (and in one case, a cat) who have found loving families because
folks cared enough to help the helpless. It's not always easy to
adopt a stray or abandoned dog or puppy, but it's always a deeply
rewarding experience.
If you've adopted from us and your pup's not shown
here, please let us
know! |

RD
He was truly one
lucky dog to be chosen by Martha, who was so committed
and unwavering in her desire to provide him a home and
that she could see the light at the end of the tunnel and
know that RD would be the wonderful companion that he has
grown to be...

| Missy
Missy's doing well. She and our cockatiel,
Sam, play together. (Sam just thinks she's a really,
really big bird.) Our cat, Mandy, isn't as impressed
with having a dog in the house as Sam is, but she's
learning to cope. *grin*

Toby
Toby is a young Cocker Spaniel
mix who was found wandering in the Gorge. His family
tells us: "Toby is the most wonderful puppy! He
brought so much joy into our lives. He is a really
big part of the family!" |

| The Dynamic Duo
This dynamic duo, both NCCR alumni, share
the same home. Luck was with the two boys, as they now
have found their forever home!
|
Max
Max, a gorgeous Sheltie, had
been shuffled from home to home. Still a little timid
at times from all of his experiences, Max settled in quite
easily with the love of his caregivers. |

Cotie
Cotie was the next lucky
fellow to join this family. He was found wandering
country roads, looking pretty darn scrungy. Friendly
as can be though, he quickly won the hearts of Max and
his family. |

| Buddy
Meet one of our former NCCR residents. Brandy,
now known as Buddy, is celebrating his first aniversary this
month with his new family and dog-sister. His mom says
that he is a wonderful dog and brings them so much joy. Buddy
and his sister get along fabulously too. Buddy has come a
long way since he first was adopted a year ago. He now walks
great on a leash and has become so lovable. He sleeps with
his family each night and even has his own chair! His mom
said that he is the "perfect dog" for their family
and has fit right into their home! |

Riley
Riley, one of NCCR's most lovable
beagles, is celebrating his first anniversary in his new home!
Riley's mom writes..."Riley has become #1 in this household
and is loved by everyone. He truly is a joy! I love
his unique personality. His playful nature and humor are the
icing on the cake! I'm so glad to have him and thank you for
helping me adopt him." |

|
| Louise
Another anniversary! Hoochie, now known
as Louise, is celebrating 2 years with her family this month.
Louise arrived at NCCR extremely thin with a face full
of porcupine quills. In fact, she even had quills under her
tongue, eyelids and in her throat. Her family says, "She
is very happy and a little too healthy! Thank you so
much...she brings us joy. The cats and horses love her
too!" |

 |
Casper
Casper, a stray, was
a tiny white puppy when he arrived at NCCR and look
at him now!! His family writes that they "all decided
that their life was very boring until Casper became
a beloved member of the family."

|
| Jasper
Jasper, now known as Spike, has stolen
the hearts of his new family. A rambuctious little bugger,
Spike was big on chewing, his primary reason for landing
a temporary home at NCCR. He's now settling in quite
nicely!
