Sampson
Sampson's first family,
could no longer keep him as the baby in the family suffered
from severe allergies. Happily, Sampson has settled
in nicely (well, the cat probably isn't thrilled) with
his new family and loves to take naps with his new pal
Tony.
Sadly, Sampson passed
in the Winter of 2002. He was surely loved and will
be greatly missed by his wonderful family. |

| Daisy
Daisy has made it easier
to live with Rock", says Dan. Who says young dudes don't
care for older women?
Read more about her
story in our Features section. |

| Eda
This is Eda what
a cutie! She looks nothing like like the sad & dirty
little girl she was when she arrived at NCCR. Here she
is in her woolycoat enjoying the last snowfall, and
sporting her first professional haircut. Her family
reports that she has slowed down on the shoe and table
modifications and is using her energy to fetch, instead.
Eda, once neglected, is now
spoiled and much loved! |

Lady
Lady, a sweet little
sweet beagle, decided she was going to be boss in her
new home. Her family has been working with Lady, and
in spite of her sometimes bossy attitude, they love
her anyway. The Kiefers write: "Lady has certainly
made herself at home here and tolerates my youngest
daughter, including dressing her up! Whenever I make
the bed, Lady rolls and buries herself in the covers
to play hide and seek! We already know that we can't
part with her affections so she
is here to stay!" |

| Sweet Pea (aka
Hobo)
Her family writes: "I
know its been a little while but I've been thinking
about you and how lucky we were that Sweet Pea found
you and we found Sweet Pea. She certainly is a challange...she's
the most active dog we have ever had, and she sure is
keeping us young and we are loving it. She has settled
down nicely, we did have one incident where the cable
company came into the backyard, left the gate open and
Sweet Pea decided to check out the neighborhood.....we
have a feeling she is a wanderer and have nicked named
her "Hobo." She loves
to play and has favorite toys now. |

Ginger
This sweet little lady arrived with
a gaping wound of unknown origin in her side. After
vet care was received, she began to heal quickly. Unable
to find her owners, Ginger was placed for adoption.
Her new family reports that she settled in quite quickly
and that she is a wonderful companion. |

| Zeppo
Zeppo has a new name and it is Zeus!
Zeppo was an owner turn-over. When asked what brand
of dog food Zeppo was accustomed to, his previous owner's
reply was "none. He ate scraps of food the neighbors
threw at him." He went days without food or water.
He was never allowed in the house, never taught to sit,
never taught to walk on a leash, never loved. Until
now. It didn't take us long to discover that Zeppo was
very, very intelligent and very eager to learn. He is
adjusting well to his new life and his family. |

Dudley
Dudley is a handsome
2 year-old Golden Retriever adopted from NCCR. Dudley's
family thinks he is the greatest. He was the first dog
that we have had that tested positive for heartworm
and his family generously covered all of his expenses
for the treatment that he required. Dudley has finished
his last treatment and as you can see, he is looking
quite healthy and just loving life!
A special thank you to
Dudley's family for all that you have done for him
he was very lucky to have been chosen by you. |

| Munson
Regular visitors of the NCCR site
may remember a pathetic, flea-bitten pup named Hunter.
He's since been adopted and rechristened "Munson."
As you can see, Munson is very happy in his new home.
His family says "thanks for a wonderful addition
to our family!" |
