Carolina Dog

Awww, Martin is just too cute! He is one of 11 that will be ready for a home starting May 24th. The puppies were born shortly after their momma's (Penny) journey to NCCR. Penny, who came from a southern state, is a Carolina Dog (mix) with absolutely the SWEETEST personality. According AKC info, Carolina Dogs are very easily trained and eager to please. The puppies are about half the size of the recent litter of Lab mix puppies that we guess they will be a medium sized dog. Penny weighs 44 lbs.

We are currently taking applications for the puppies. The puppies and Penny are in foster care. In order to keep the puppies healthy and so that there is not a lot of traffic in the foster home, we will set up appointments to meet the puppies once your application is approved. Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting before you apply.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application which you'll find under each dog's photo. If you are on Petfinder, you will need to go to our webpage at http://www.caninerescue.org/available-pets/ (just copy and paste that link in your browser). The application to adopt is in the very lower left hand corner of each pet's webpage.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

The puppies are too young to be spayed/neutered. Their adoption fee will be $250.00. They will have had age appropriate vaccinations and that includes a microchip. Upon proof of neutering/spaying when the pup is old enough, $125.00 will be returned to the adopter.

NYS Registration #RR028.
