Mixed Breed

We just received photos of this litter that is dubbed the "Digger Dozen" from their foster mom, so it's time to start searching for homes! According to their foster mom, they are very quiet, calm and laid back. They love being held, love toys and love to eat. Their mother is very quiet and loves belly rubs, toys and walks. She is an 18 month old pup herself weighing around 60 pounds (she is also pictured here). When you come into the nursery, all 12 want your attention and stand at the pen begging. Right now at 7 weeks they are on the small side around 4 pounds each. This was a very large litter and currently the puppies are small, but that my change as they continue to grow. We do not know what they are mixed with or how big they will be as adults.

We are currently taking applications for the puppies. In order to keep the puppies healthy and so that there is not a lot of traffic in their foster home room, we will set up appointments to meet the puppies for approved applications. Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application which you'll find under each dog's photo. If you are on Petfinder, you will need to go to our webpage at http://www.caninerescue.org/available-pets/ (just copy and paste that link in your browser). The application to adopt is in the very lower left hand corner of each pet's webpage.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

The puppies are too young to be spayed/neutered. Their adoption fee will be $250.00. They will have had age appropriate vaccinations and that includes a microchip. Upon proof of neutering/spaying when the pup is old enough, $125.00 will be returned to the adopter.

NYS Registration #RR028.
