Gus is a black and white mixed breed puppy. He is around 6 pounds and will likely be a medium to larger dog. Gus is very people oriented, sweet and loves to be held. He plays with his brothers and all their toys but his favorite place is in the arms of one of his caregivers.

We are currently taking applications for this litter of three puppies. They are around 8 weeks old and have been lovingly raised in a foster home. Their very sweet momma Buttercup has not only cared for them, but also is caring for a much younger litter of puppies who lost their momma. Buttercup is pictured here also.

Gus is kindly sponsored by David Grayson and Kathleen Hatt. Thank you!

In order to keep the puppies healthy and so that there is not a lot of traffic in the foster home, we will set up appointments to meet the puppies for approved applications. Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting before you apply.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application which you'll find under each dog's photo. If you are on Petfinder, you will need to go to our webpage at http://www.caninerescue.org/available-pets/ (just copy and paste that link in your browser). The application to adopt is in the very lower left hand corner of each pet's webpage.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

The puppies are too young to be spayed/neutered. Their adoption fee will be $250.00. They will have had age appropriate vaccinations and that includes a microchip. Upon proof of neutering/spaying when the pup is old enough, $125.00 will be returned to the adopter.

NYS Registration #RR028.
