UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: We have received many applications for Lily so at this time we are not taking any further applications. Thank you everyone!

UPDATE: Lily is currently undergoing treatment for an unidentified anemia. She is doing well but as of right now we do not know her prognosis. Lily is a wonderful, sweet little girl that is going to make someone a lovable companion. Lily came from a backyard neglectful breeder, has had a tough life and will be overjoyed to one day have a home inside. and feel loved. We do have several applications for Lily and we are hoping that soon she will be ready to meet her new family.

Lily's backstory: Lily arrived at NCCR on 1/14/20, and had been staying in foster care until transferring to the shelter on 2/5/20. She is an approximately 4-year-old spayed female Samoyed. Lily was removed from her owner, along with several other dogs, in a cruelty/neglect case. Due to lack of proper care and grooming, her coat had to be shaved to remove the mats and filth. She has some skin irritation from urine scalding and debris being trapped against her skin. Lily is very friendly, affectionate, and inquisitive. She seems to be house trained, as she has been keeping her kennel clean. Lily does not like the small dogs kenneled near her, so a home without small dogs or cats is advisable. She lived with other larger dogs before, and did ok with them.

Lily is kindly sponsored by John and Susan Harrell, David Grayson, Anne Odell, Bob and Trudy Sensel and Kathleen Hatt. Thank you!
