Name:Miley GirlAge:Adult

Miley Girl arrived at NCCR on 4/15/20, along with her sister, Marley Sue, rescued from a puppy mill in upstate NY. They were adopted together, but they didn't get along when they were in a new home together so Miley was returned. Miley turned four years old on May 23rd.

Miley will only be rehomed with an experienced large breed dog owner, preferably one with Rottie experience. A quiet adult home without other pets or kids is required. She really enjoys the yards at the shelter, so a fenced yard would be perfect for her.

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: Miley lived in a puppy mill. She did not have experiences socializing with humans. She is independent and while she will seek attention, she does not like to be overwhelmed with that attention and is happy with a good dose of "alone time" to chew on a bone, relax in the yard, etc. Miley will do best in a home where there is a predictable routine. She needs to meet new people slowly and has done well with the volunteers at the Rescue. Due to not being properly socialized, patience and time will help her become the best dog she can be.

Miley Girl is sponsored by Leanne DiNicola, Julie Rabbit, Karen Larkin, Sandra Pavlock, Keith and Heidi Fowler, Joe and Kate Greulich in honor of Sam and Sarge, Kayme Crowell, David Grayson, Anne Odell, Bob and Trudy Sensel, Melford Swanson, Robert Tipton, Sandra Pavlock, Jill Reese, Elaine Tschari and Ron and Brenda Johnson, Lucinda Gelsmino, Randy and Debby Ruhland and Will and Cindy Hepfer in memory of Skye and Rosa McDonald. Thank you everyone!

Miley Girl is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $190.00. (cash or check only, we are unable to accept credit cards)

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application which you'll find under each dog's photo. If you are on Petfinder, you will need to go to our webpage at http://www.caninerescue.org/available-pets/ (just copy and paste that link in your browser). The application to adopt is in the very lower left hand corner of each pet's webpage.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
