How many 9 year-olds do you know who would forego their own birthday presents and, instead, ask that friends give presents to a worthy cause?

We know at least one.

Every year, Cassidy Benson of Mayville, NY picks a charity and asks her friends to give to her choice rather than to her. This year, Cassidy and her parents, Paul and Kim Benson, delivered a ton of toys and visited with our dogs.

At an age when most little girls are dreaming of Barbies or clothes, Cassidy is saving lives. Mr. and Mrs. Benson, you must be so very proud of your daughter.

And Cassidy? You just flat out rock.
