Daisy

A Companion for a Companion

In Daisy's foster home, she would have a companion named Rock, who was only two years old. Rock’s guardian, Dan, had acquired him through German Shorthair Rescue. The people who gave Rock up had lived in a 3rd floor apartment, downtown, somewhere in Conn. Because he didn't get to run much and was crated 10 to 12 hours each day, he drove them bonkers.

When Rock came to live with Dan, he suffered from separation anxiety. Running him 2 hours each day helped him behave better while Dan was home, but if he left briefly, Rock would go wild and trash the house so he had to be crated at those times.

Once Daisy arrived, Rock could be left home alone with Daisy and he did not have to be crated. In fact Dan has put the crate away and Daisy has a permanent home with Rock and Dan!

“Daisy has made it easier to live with Rock”, says Dan.
