Randy Goss Memorial Fund donation
benefits Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue
The staff of the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue was pleased to
accept a monetary donation from the Randy Goss Memorial Fund. With
their move to a permanent location on North Gale Street in Westfield,
ongoing renovations and essential items for the building are
dependent on donations and grants.
Randy Goss, who died in 2001 from cancer at the age of 49, was
well-known throughout the Dunkirk-Fredonia community as a supporter
of humanitarian causes. He also was an avid and accomplished golfer.
Each year, a golf tournament is held in Randy's memory with the
proceeds distributed throughout Chautauqua County to organizations
in need of assistance. An annual $1,000 scholarship also is awarded.
Mike Mirek, chairman of the Randy Goss Memorial Fund Committee,
stated that the fund will continue to fulfill its purpose of helping
out various places within the county.
