| New Year, New Site
We've rebuilt caninerescue.org from the ground up. We've changed
and recreated graphics, added new sections, and packed in a heck
of a lot more content. Here are a few of the things that have changed:
Faster, better-running site: the
site now loads nearly twice as fast. When a site has as many photos
of dogs as we do, it's important to us that you don't have to wait
to see those furry faces. Folks with larger monitors will also notice
that the pages flex to fit just about any screen size now.
Improved adoption
gallery: instead of those tiny pop-up windows, each dog
now opens into his or her own full page with a larger picture. An
interest form is included with each dog, as well.
New Features
section: every dog and puppy we care for has a story to tell.
You can browse a growing list of these stories in our Features
section, accessible through regular front page stories.
New Resources
section: this includes a directory of excellent sites that
offer help with dog behavior, health, lost pets and more. You'll
also find a listing of many of our area Dog Control Officers.
Please note that, due to some changes in the site structure, some
of your current browser bookmarks may no longer work. Please reset
any bookmarks to the new pages in the site.
There's a lot happening in our site and we want you to be part
of it. If you like the new layout, or even if you don't, please
let us know. And
we're always open to suggestions.
As always, thanks for your continuing support of NCCR, and thanks
for loving dogs.
