Petey after the parade.

Westfield's birthday parade

NCCR was proud to participate in Westfield's Bicentenial Day Parade on Saturday July 20th. The theme of our float for the parade was "The Spirit of Volunteerism."

The parade was well-organized and everything happened so quickly (even though it was a two hour parade, the time flew right by!). The dogs had a great time and loved all the extra attention and exercise. The kids and adult volunteers had a lot of fun too!

It was exciting to hear the crowd shouting "here comes the Canine Rescue" every time they saw us coming down the road. The kids laughed and clapped and the parents "oohed and awwed" at all the dogs! All in all, it really was a great time for all of us :) love that dog!

Scroll down for some great party photos!
