Yesterday
Sampson began coming out to greet the staff upon their arrival. He seems
to look forward to everyone's arrival. Today, as predicted by Dr. Ellen,
the end of Sampson's tail fell off due to frostbite. His legs are still
somewhat weak, but he is enjoying brief walks outside.
Sampson
is enjoying some special attention from student volunteer Matt. He seems
to be very shy around the other dogs, but very friendly with everyone
he meets. He is putting on some weight, but still has a long way to
go before he is at the weight he should be. He doesn't stand for long
periods of time and seems to tire easily. However, small signs of overall
improvement are noticed each day.
