Sampson's Story
Day 32: Healing & the power of the Web

A finer, stronger Sampson.

Happily, Sampson continues to grow strong. He recently went to the vet for neutering and had a tumor removed from below his tail. He's healing well and hasn't experienced any more setbacks so far. He has a long recovery ahead but it looks like he's finally going in the right direction.

Up until a few days ago, we had thought that Sampson was a Pitbull/Boxer/Dane mix, but after seeing a photo of a dog like Sampson in a magazine, Co-Director Brenda Luce contacted a source that specializes in a very unique breed of dog. Apparently our Sampson is a Dogo Argentina.

Our well-loved boy.Since that initial contact, the response across the Web has been nothing short of amazing. We've received a tremendous number of emails from people offering caring words, donations and even a box of fuzzy toys for Sampson and his friends (it seems that Dogos are particularly fond of fuzzy toys).

Sampson has been the topic of discussion on a Dogo site bulletin board, and the site has been visited by folks in England, Sweden, Argentina, New Zealand, Greece and Netherlands.

All of this caring and concern reminds us that the Web isn't about technology, high-speed connections and the latest browser. It's about people who care and the word that they spread. Each of us has an equal voice on the World Wide Web. How we use it is up to each of us. Our thanks to all of you who have used your voice to provide support to Sampson.
