Volunteers from NCCR and the community are now hard at work, preparing
our new facility for a planned mid-August move. The location will
be more accessible to visitors, more comfortable for the dogs, and
provide an excellent environment in which to meet potential new
best friends.
A warm thank you to our grantors:
The renovation of the new NCCR facility is being funded entirely
by grantors, fundraisers and donations from community members like
you. All the work on the building is being performed by volunteers,
as well!
Without the support of our financial grantors and donators, this
project would never become reality. NCCR would like to thank the
following organizations for their generous support.
PetSmart
Lakeshore Savings & Loan
The Bertha Hamilton Foundation
Petco
Northern Chautauqua Community
Foundation
DFT Communications
The Krumholz Foundation
A very special thanks to the following folks:
- To Bill Deet and Jack & Kathie Horst for the countless hours
they spend renovating NCCR's new home.
- To Tom Balsano, Vince Luce, Kris Ossman, Kelly Ossman, Judy Loomis
and Mim Thering and the Dunkirk/Fredonia student volunteers for
all of the work they have done.
Calling all volunteers!
An
appeal is being made to dog lovers and Good Samaritans to assist
in the remaining remodeling of the building. Volunteers may serve
at their own convenience and are needed for tasks such as painting,
assembling kennels, fencing the yard, and other odd jobs. With community
assistance, NCCR will be able to realize its goal of an August entry
date. The new location will provide a more comfortable atmosphere
for the dogs awaiting adoption and greatly benefit their well-being.
To volunteer, call 326-PAWS and leave a message or contact
us here at the site.
We think it's important to make the best effort we can to provide
comfort and security for our homeless dogs and puppies. Can you
help us to help the helpless?
