Sigfried

Sigfried

The Dobie was lost and alone when a kind family found him. There was no clue as to who he belonged to: the family didn't recognize him from the neighborhood. His condition was shocking. They approached him cautiously, hoping to offer him shelter, but he wasn't quite ready to be rescued yet.

He led the family to some tall grass down the street where his companion, a female Lab, waited. She wasn't as thin as her guardian, but was just as homeless.

The family took both dogs into their home to care for and feed them, then began the search for the owners. Whenever dinner time approached, this kind, gentle Dobie let his lady friend eat first, patiently waiting his turn to satisfy his own obvious hunger and thirst. Whatever these experiences these two have suffered, it formed a strong bond between them.

Misty

Sigfried, the Dobie, is about 3 years-old and has a way to go before he is ready for adoption. There is an infected wound on his leg, as well as some other less serious injuries. The wounds are slowly healing and he is starting to fill out. He'll be a fine looking Doberman once he is back in shape. He's smart and very friendly with people, and has been so patient while having his wounds cleaned. A family familiar with the breed would be an ideal home for him once he is ready.

Misty, a Black Lab approximately 4-5 years-old, was found in much better health and, happily, an adoption is now pending for her.
