This is your first and best source for finding a wonderful companion for you and your family. And for those folks who aren't quite ready to adopt, we encourage you to consider sponsoring one of our kids.

Elder Partner indicates the dog is eligible through our regular process and through our Elder Partnering Program, which is funded in part by a grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. Adoption Pending means that a brief waiting period is in effect for an adoption. I'm Adopted! means the dog has found a home. A Courtesy Listing means that the current owners are continuing to care for the pet while adoption arrangements are made and the dog or cat is not currently housed at our shelter.

Ready to get serious? Download an adoption application and let us know when you'd like to meet your new companion. Note: you will need Microsoft Word to open the Word application and Acrobat Reader to open the PDF application. Reader is available as a free download from the Adobe Website.

Available Cats & Kittens

While we are a canine rescue, we also have the following cats available for adoption. For more information or to adopt one of these great companions, please email Judy Loomis at jsloomis@cecomet.net.

Garfield

Garfield
I'm Adopted!

Garfield was named after the comic character for obvious reasons. He has the cutest face and a very laid back personality. So far he hasn't asked for lasagna or anything else except a warm home and a little attention from time to time. Don't let his looks fool you: this kitty , like all our cats, is "Fragile — Handle with Care."

Clarence

Clarence

Sponsored in memory of Dorothy Mayer

Clarence knew where to go for shelter when he showed up at NCCR on his own. He is a beautiful white and orange kitty who doesn't always take to cuddling, but always wants your attention. Like so many of the adult cats who come to us, Clarence seems to have lived in home and was taken cared for at one time. He misses that and would love to share a home with someone special, again.

Machiko

Machiko

Machiko is Japanese for 'fortunate child'. This young male orange tiger was very fortunate to be brought to NCCR after being abandoned in a trailer when the owner moved away. He has blossomed at the shelter and is a sweet and affectionate tabby. Please give him a permanent home with lots of love.

Prince Albert

Prince Albert

Prince Albert is a very affectionate, loving, but somewhat shy yound male. It has taken him a little while to adjust to the shelter and we know he would be more comfortable and happier in a real forever home. His beautiful, soft black coat was just made to be stroked.
