"Hey everyone!  My very first birthday is coming up on May 14th and the best birthday present I could get would be a new home!  I didn't lose my first home because I was bad or anything like that.  What happened is, family work schedules unexpectedly changed and that left me home...alone....a lot.  My family thought that was very unfair for a young, energetic fellow to live like that, so here I am."

"I'm neutered, fully vaccinated, housetrained, know my basic commands so I'm pretty obedient, get along great with people and other dogs and I know some tricks too.  Oh, but I should mention that I can't live with cats. So an active, cat free family is where I would fit in."

Please email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org if you have any questions or interest in one of the dogs available for adoption.  As NCCR is a volunteer organization, visitation is by appointment only. Thank you!

NCCR News

Needed: Treadmill

Our treadmill has broke and can no longer be used.  We are asking for a donation of another treadmill.  During the cold Winter months, the dogs can not always get the proper exercise they need because it is too cold to have them outside for any length of time.

If you have a treadmill you would like to donate, please call 326-PAWS. Thank you!

Search the Internet: Help NCCR

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities that its users designate.  You use it as you would any search engine, and it’s powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, NCCR, is already one of the thousands of GoodSearch listed charities who are earning a penny every time we use GoodSearch as a search engine!

Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue NCCR as the charity you want to support. Any search on any topic generates the pennies!

Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime!

Success Story

Auggie arrived at NCCR early in 2007.  His first visit to the vet revealed that he was heartworm positive.  After receiving treatment for heartworm, Auggie had to remain "quiet" for a month, no easy feat for a young Lab or for theAuggie volunteers who tried to make sure he didn't do too much moving around.  After a full recovery and many months later, Auggie is now living the life that any dog must dream of...

Donate a Bed We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.
