Serenity was one of four dogs brought into another rescue. They were apparently “found”, so no information on them was provided. Little sweetie Serenity arrived at NCCR on 12/11/21 after being found by the roadside and taken to another shelter. Serenity is a female, thought to be around 2 years old. She is guessed to be Chihuahua/Terrier mix. She is very friendly with people and seems to get along with other friendly dogs. She will need more work on house training.
12/28 update from her foster mom: Serenity is an absolute doll!! Always with me/on me, can’t get close enough, she just melts around me. She is VERY polite, smart, wants to please. She does not like the crate, she just wants to be with you. She is not a fan of going out and I have to carry her out. She will “shy pee” when you go to take her out. She hasn’t had an accident inside the last few days, and will use the potty pads.Friendly with my pack, but will growl if they get close to me (I’m sure that will pass) and likes Gerald the cat. She has learned sit & working on stay and take it nice for treats. It’s hard to get photos as she is always on me or trying to get in my lap!

It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
