It takes so very little to save a life.

NCCR exists entirely at the mercy of folks who care enough to make a difference. We are a fully-volunteer, non-profit group and receive no government funding.

The dogs and puppies who arrive at our shelter are abandoned, abused and unwanted. Without the support and care of our community, these loving companions will remain homeless and without hope. This really is often a matter of life and death.

How can you help?

Volunteer

You can be a hero just by giving up a few hours of TV during the week or getting up just a little earlier on the weekend. We need folks to help walk dogs, organize towels, food and other supplies, and care for the shelter. If you enjoy public speaking, we'd love to have folks help us give educational talks for area schools and organizations and help us organize fundraisers.

Donate Funds

There's simply no other way to say it: we need cold, hard cash to stay afloat. We are a volunteer-staffed non-profit organization and we receive little financial support beyond donations from folks like you. A financial gift in any amount can go a long way toward helping us continue our work. All funds received through donations go directly toward the care and feeding of our dogs and puppies.

You can now make donations online using PayPal. It's very easy, very fast and very secure. Most major credit cards are accepted and you'll receive an emailed receipt for your tax records. If you'd prefer to mail your donation, you can send it to our facility. Please be sure to send a check, though. It's never a good idea to send cash in the mail.

Donate Goods & Services

In addition to money, we are always in need of:

• Goodies. Toys, chew bones, blankets, towels, leashes and collars.
• Basics. Dog food, treats, bleach, laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, copy paper, and more.

We would also appreciate any professional services you might consider donating. If you are a lawyer, veterinarian, bookkeeper, desktop publisher or have any other specialized skill, please contact us. We promise we won't monopolize your time!

Sponsor a Dog

Not everyone has a place in their home for a dog, and we understand that. But there is still a way you can make a real difference. By sponsoring a dog, you contribute directly to the care of that dog or puppy. We'll provide a photo of the dog and you're name will be added to his or her posting in our Adoption Gallery.
