Fostering a Shelter Dog

NCCR is always in need of foster homes. Thank you for considering opening your home to one of our dogs in need. (Please note: Fosters need to be willing to bring dogs in for meet and greets or local vet visits.)

Dogs who have lost their home when their caregiver dies or because of a change in family circumstances, struggle being without their loved ones while they try to adjust to their new way of life. Foster families help ease this anxiety and prepare them for their next journey.

Most frequently we need homes for puppy mill dogs. When we have foster homes available, we are able to take in a few of these dogs that may otherwise be killed when they are no longer cute little puppies that puppy millers can sell or are no longer useful for breeding.
