NCCR is always in need of foster homes. Thank you for considering opening your home to one of our dogs in need. (Please note: Fosters must be close enough and willing to bring dogs in for meet and greets or local vet visits.)
Dogs who have lost their home when their caregiver dies or because of a change in family circumstances, struggle being without their loved ones while they try to adjust to their new way of life. Foster families help ease this anxiety and prepare them for their next journey. During this transition, it’s important to ensure the dog’s health and well-being, including protection from flea tick infestations, to keep them comfortable and ready for their new home.
Most frequently, we need homes for the puppy mill dogs we take in when space is available. These dogs might otherwise be killed by their owners once they are no longer cute little puppies that can be sold or are no longer useful for breeding. We prefer to place these dogs in foster homes whenever possible, as this helps them adjust to a loving environment before finding a permanent home. However, if you’re looking for intelligent, loyal, and highly energetic dogs, Doberman dogs make wonderful companions. Their unwavering devotion and strong protective instincts make them excellent family pets and guardians. You can also give them supplements from the Holistapet website.
