Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler
Mixed Breed

Breeze is an approximately 4 month old Heeler mix. She and her siblings recently came to us from a puppy mill. Apparently mom ran loose, so father is unknown. In the first 20 hours with their foster mom they were relatively quiet and unsure but now they run to their foster mom for attention. Their first encounter with the play yard was one of sheer pleasure. They ran and played then discovered toys. They had to all together play with each toy and immediately did the three way tug of war on every puppy's favorite, the squirrel!

Being so friendly is wonderful, puppies from the mill are often afraid of their own shadows. They are untrained and need work on basic commands. They are somewhat rambunctious but they ask for attention and are very good natured. The boss is Blake, also the biggest and so wants to be picked up and cuddled which is impossible at his weight! Breeze is the least dominant and always yields to Blake. Bindi is somewhere in the middle. One on one each of these dogs is easy to handle if you can stand being loved to death! They are super happy to meet any new person. The pups are not shy and do not scare are easily. They have a lot of potential and are already enjoying their new lives.

Breeze is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $190.00. (cash or check only, we are unable to accept credit cards).

Breeze is kindly sponsored by Linda Bradigan in memory of Shaleigh and Rich, , Melford Swanson, Randy and Debby Ruhland and Andrew and Emilee Jae Robbins. Thank you everyone!
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application which you'll find under each dog's photo. If you are on Petfinder, you will need to go to our webpage at http://www.caninerescue.org/available-pets/ (just copy and paste that link in your browser). The application to adopt is in the very lower left hand corner of each pet's webpage.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

NYS Registration #RR028.
