Unlike last year when it rained, it was a beautiful, very warm weather day for Deli Day at the Old Corner Deli. Pepper was our ambassador and he was so calm and well mannered (Pepper has been adopted!).
A former NCCR resident stopped in to say hi. Taylor, renamed Abbey was adopted in May and her family thinks she’s great! We were happy to hear from others who talked with us that they had rescue dogs.
Thank you to everyone that came to the event and to Joyce Lewallen, who welcomed us on her premises to hold this event for the 3rd year and gift certificate for the raffle basket.The winning raffle ticket was drawn by Joyce and the basket was won by Sandy Lutes. Proceeds are being used to purchase a new supply of durable toys for the shelter dogs.
