Nugget is an approximately 2 year old neutered male Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix. He weighs in at around 13 pounds and is full-grown. Nugget was pulled from an overcrowded shelter after being left there by a puppy mill breeder. He has not been socialized to normal everyday life as a pet in a home, so he will need a kind, understanding, and patient family that can help him adjust and learn at his own pace. Nugget was adopted, but the family sadly reports that unbeknownst to them, a family member is highly allergic to dogs. He will be staying with the adoptive family until he is readopted. Here is what they have to say about Nugget: He is very sweet and friendly. He loves attention and likes to be around people and doesn’t mind other dogs. He is great with kids. He has almost mastered being house broken. He likes walks and does great on a leash.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
