Missy is almost perfect. She is 100% house trained and has been since she arrived. Inside, she comes immediately when called. When I (or Steve) sit down, she will jump onto my lap, flip onto her back and lay her head on my chest, snuggling. I’ve seen videos of dogs doing this but she’s the first we’ve had. She closes her eyes and shows pure contentment. She sits patiently waiting for treats, as Lucky gets his first. She doesn’t try to steal food from the others, eats side by side with Lucky and Buddy. She knows the word “outside” and her big ears perk up even higher. She sits perfectly still while her harness and leash are put on. Missy is a hunter. Of course, I expected her to be. She’s a rat terrier!

Missy was adopted in September 2025.
