Freya is doing great!  She is very patient and playful with our kid; she loves to follow him around and keep him company. He has taken on the task of feeding her every day and is so proud to help take care of her. She enjoys zoomies around our fenced in garden and sniffing around for bunnies and deer. She seems incredibly excited about the deep snow – hopping through drifts over her head, shoving her snout in to sniff the ground underneath, and pouncing on chunks of snow and ice. She absolutely loves to take naps in her cozy bed by the wood stove when she comes back inside. She really likes to play with a ball but has not caught a single one yet – she just pounces on them when they hit the floor. It’s adorable. And she is a huge snuggle bug.

She seems very happy to be part of our family, and her personality has really come out over the last couple months. Thank you all for the awesome work you do at NCCR!

Freya was adopted in December 2025.
