Meet Bug! 🐾

Bug is a darling, approximately 6-month-old puppy weighing 29 lbs. He may be a Cattle Dog/Pointer or Cattle Dog/Spaniel mix, but his breed mix is just a guess. He is expected to mature around 35–40 lbs.

Found in Jamestown, Bug spent his first six months with a homeless couple who clearly cared for and loved him. He is now enjoying foster life and proving to be a fun, affectionate, and easygoing houseguest!

Bug is almost house-trained, walks nicely on leash, enjoys playing fetch, and wrestling with other dogs. His favorite things are belly rubs, lap time, and being close to his person. He bonds quickly with his primary caregiver, although he can initially be a little cautious with new people. A few treats and a little patience help him warm up.

He is curious and friendly toward other dogs, showing a playful interest while respectfully following their lead. He has also settled nicely into his foster home, stays quietly when left alone, and sleeps peacefully through the night.

Bug is healthy, has received his first puppy vaccinations, and has started Simparica Trio. He will continue his puppy vaccination schedule and will be neutered before adoption. Given his age and temperament around other dogs, he may also be a good candidate for a careful introduction to cats.

Bug is currently in a loving foster home and is ready to meet his forever family. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate young companion, Bug might just be your boy!

Meet and Greets can be arranged at his foster home in Jamestown.
