Cute Cie Cie arrived at NCCR on 12/23/21. She was surrendered by her owner when he no longer had enough time to care for her properly due to his work schedule. Cie Cie was originally rescued from the reservation where she had been left tied to a tree. She is an approximately 2 ½ – 3 year old recently spayed female Silver Labrador Retriever/Chow mix. We’re told that she is a very sweet, happy girl. She can be a strong puller on-leash at first due to excitement, but she settles down somewhat after a bit. Cie Cie knows “down” & “sit”. She will require daily vigorous exercise and activity to keep her happy; she was taking her boredom and frustration out by chewing things she shouldn’t! She is dog friendly with most, but not all, other dogs; she usually greets & wags her tail for most. Cie Cie enjoys playing in water. She can be barky when left outside by herself – she’d rather be with you! Cie Cie rides well in the car. She is strong, so she will require a family that can provide ongoing training to help her learn good obedience manners.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to firstname.lastname@example.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.
We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
CieCie is kindly sponsored by Gracie Deike, Meg Thering in memory of Natasha Kailaclass’s cat, Kit.
