Lexie and Cooper unexpectedly lost the person who cared for them & loved them dearly, and now this devoted pair is hoping for a second chance together. Lexie (black/tan), a 5 year old spayed female, was adopted from NCCR when she was a puppy. She’s pure sunshine; outgoing, affectionate, and convinced that everyone she meets is her new best friend.  Cooper, a 3½–4 year old mixed breed neutered male, also was originally adopted from NCCR. He’s a little more thoughtful at first, but give him a minute and you’ll see his sweet, loyal heart shine through. These two are beautifully bonded, housetrained, know their basics (“sit,” “down,” “shake”), stroll politely on leash, and can relax at home with free indoor access when you’re away. They’ve already been through a loss, and they don’t want to lose each other, too. They need a home where they can stay side by side.
