Grizzly, now known as Dutton is doing fantastic! He has really settled in, and been such a wonderful addition to our family! He’s such a good boy, and we don’t have a clue as to why no one wanted this love bug sooner! But we’re incredibly blessed that he’s our baby now.
Dutton has been doing FANTASTIC with potty training. He has had a few accidents, mostly overnight, but for the past week he’s been golden! Progress! Dutton loves his multiple daily walks with me, and boy does he LOVE the snow! I don’t know what he will do when it’s all gone, for he loves to dig and burrow his cute little head in every snow bank possible and make snow pups 😂. He also likes to sit at the top of them like he’s the king of the world!
Dutton absolutely loves and adores our three children, and never gets enough time to play tug of war with his rope toys, or fetch with his stuffies! He gets SUPER excited when they come home from school, and he sits like such a good, patient boy on our porch, just waiting for them to come home to enjoy endless play time. He also has found his bark and is very protective when a new face comes over the house or even when passing by someone on a walk, especially when the kids are near by. He’s got such a big bark for a little boy. We certainly feel a new sense of security in our home, and it’s a blessing! Night time is the best! When the house has quieted down for the night, the kids are asleep, I get THE BEST snuggles with him on our couch, and in our king size bed. He’s one spoiled boy! Everyone in town already seems to know him just from his walks around with me. The Town Clerk also enjoyed him when we registered him with the town.
We can’t thank NCCR for allowing us to adopt such a loving and sweet boy. He’s been such a blessing and source of healing after the loss of our 9 year old boy Dexter in January.
