Hawkeye-Adopted!

We are currently taking applications for Hawkeye.   Hawkeye is currently in a foster home and she is doing great there.  Her foster mom says, whoever gets Hawkeye is going to get a very good, easily trainable, smart dog. almost house broke already. No tricks taught but she does ask to go out and if the owner pays attention, there will be no house accidents. I  am enjoying my time with fostering Hawkeye!!!!

Hawkeye’s mom is a husky and the dad is a pitbull.  Before you apply, please be sure that you have the time, patience and energy to raise a puppy and that you can make a commitment to her for her lifetime.   She will need plenty of daily exercise, playtime and obedience training…begin the training early and continue it throughout her lifetime.  An appointment to meet her will be set up for approved applications.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application.   After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.  Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

Hawkeye is kindly sponsored by Meg Thering in memory of Natasha Kailaclass’s cat, Kit. She is also sponsored by Suzanne and former NCCR residents, Tillie Mae and Bron Bron, by Dan Courtine in honor of Brutie, Kelsey Thomas, Marilyn and Jerry Bertges in memory of Libby and by Bette Lou Wisler. Thank you everyone!
