Lobo (for Celebration of Canine Lives Sanctuary)-Adopted!

Lobo, is not at NCCR, he is a cross-posting for Celebration of Canine Lives Sanctuary.  If you are interested in applying for Lobo, the contact info is below.

Lobo is the very first dog our organization has rescued. He was found as a stray in the Kinzua Dam area and no one claimed him. Lobo is a very gentle Alaskan Malamute who is shy with strangers but playful and loving once he gets to know you. A sweeter soul you will never meet. Lobo would do well in a home with another dog(s) or in a home that would give him the opportunity to have play dates with other dogs. He has had many play dates at our sanctuary and he has gotten along well with every dog he meets. From everything we know and have observed, he would be okay in a home with cats as well. Lobo loves to go hiking and would thrive in a home that would take him for adventures at different state parks, walking trails, etc. He loves going for car rides and seeing new places. Lobo is not a huge fan of toys, but will play with them occasionally. He likes food puzzles and nose work games. His favorite thing is digging huge holes while playing outside. We can foresee Lobo doing really well in adoptive home where he is not left alone for too long…once he knows and trusts people, he absolutely loves being with them. This dog will need an extremely gentle but confident guardian because he is very sensitive people’s voices, emotions, etc. He does occasionally put things in his mouth that he shouldn’t, so while he is getting acclimated to a new home, it’s best to start him off in a small gated area and gradually expand his living environment. While we cannot guarantee he is housebroken, he has never gone to the bathroom in his room at the sanctuary. Lobo is about four years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots and is in good health to the best of our knowledge. If you’re prepared to make a lifetime commitment to Lobo and fill his days with joy, please reach out to us!
