November update-Mack spent some time in a foster home, this from his foster mom: He loved the kids and was super gentle with them, he became very protective of the house and would hoof at any uncertain noise to make sure we knew he was listening, he liked having friends to play with and humans to snuggle, he really likes stuffed animals (making them go poof), he really did not like the neighbors small dogs or squirrels, he was great on the lead with his prong collar on for walk and he sits on command at corners before crossing. He needs lots of love an attention always he’s a lover and a big baby. Oh he needs a 10 gallon bucket of water he drinks A LOT! He takes treats super gently and knows his basic commands. I can go on and on about him and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions about him
This handsome dog joined NCCR after his owner, unfortunately, became homeless and couldn’t care for him. Mack, an approximately 2 year-old neutered Dalmation (possibly mixed), weighs about 80 pounds and is fully grown. He’s youthful, lively, and loves playing. It’s essential for him to be with a family ready to offer abundant playtime, exercise, and consistent training. Mack’s favorite game? Playing ball! He possesses quite the strength, so he needs continuous training to improve his leash manners and prevent pulling. It’s worth noting that Mack isn’t fond of cats and has a knack for chasing squirrels and chipmunks, so a home without cats or tiny pets is a must.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application. After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day. Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.
We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
Mack is kindly sponsored by Steve and Diana Lucas in memory of Zeus, Dan and Amy Courtine in honor of Xander, Holly and Eden, Chelsea Barber, Suzanne, Tillie Mae and Mimzie in memory of Bron Bron and Rebecca Wood. Thank you!
