The Amazing Olive was found roaming stray locally and unclaimed by her owner, this vagabond pup is ready to make a permanent home with you and put her wandering ways behind her. She is only around 8-9 months old, and in her “Figuring Things Out” era, so Olive is hoping to find a family who will be patient and loving while she learns. With guidance and TLC, Olive will thrive and develop into a devoted best friend for life. She is guessed to be a mix of Black Lab, possibly a little hound, and something else that makes her slightly fuzzy but not quite fluffy. Whatever her mix, she’s a cutie! Spaying, vaccinating, and microchipping will all be taken care of prior to adoption so Olive can start her new life healthy, happy, and ready to share in your adventures together. Apply to adopt or visit the shelter Monday – Saturday 1-3 p.m. and meet her in person.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your next step should be to complete an Adoption Application. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.
We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
