Garth-Adopted!

Garth was born December 13th; his mom is a small lab, dad is unknown.  His foster mom says:  He’s your typical puppy;  has high energy, gets along great with other dogs but his energy may be too much for older dogs as they may get annoyed as he does jump on the dogs and will play bite.  Garth does well in a crate at night. He’s learning house breaking but still has accidents.

Before you apply for a puppy, please give some thought about what raising a puppy entails.  Do you have the time, patience and energy to raise puppy?  Can you commit to this puppy for a lifetime?  Are you willing to seek professional training if problems arise?  Will dog expenses, including emergency vet care if needed fit into your budget?  If it’s a yes, to all these questions, then please send in your application!

Garth is in a foster home. Visitation will be arranged for approved applicants.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application.   After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.  Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

Garth is kindly sponsored by:  former NCCR Resident, Romeo and his family, Charlie and Deann Sist, Suzanne and former NCCR residents, Tillie Mae and Bron Bron, Dave and Nancy Nuzzo, Joseph Incavo, Cathy and David Ferguson, and Mo and Andrew Broadbent in memory of Kofi. Thank you everyone!
