This knockout gorgeous boy’s name is Remmy. He also goes by “Remiford,” “Remmington” and “The Rem Man.” However, he prefers plain and simple “Remmy.” He is a Husky/German Shepherd Dog mix who is most likely between the ages of 2.5 and 4.5 years old. Remmy is an energetic boy who will need an active home that is happy to take him for many on-leash adventures. He loves hiking and going for long walks. If you have another dog(s), great! Remmy loves playing with other dogs! Do you have cats? Remmy has personally lived with three cats and has been incredibly gentle, kind and patient with them. He has no prey drive and even puts up with aggression from a territorial male cat. Remmy would also do well in a home with children. He may accidentally knock over a small child (he is BIG and can be rowdy), but we feel he’d thrive with children 7+. Remmy has some anxiety riding in the car, but he loves the destinations once he gets there. He is incredibly gentle and the type of dog you could take to work, Tractor Supply, festivals, etc. We are working on polite manners, but his heart is as gentle and pure as they come. Remmy is crate trained and will most likely need to be crated when left alone, as he has separation anxiety. He needs a home where he will not be left alone too often. The separation anxiety issues and vehicle anxiety may have come from his past, as he came to CCLS as stray. It is suspected that he may have been dropped out of a vehicle. This boy must have a guardian(s) who is committed to gentle training methods, is naturally patient and doesn’t mind doggy kisses. (He likes to give them!) A big fenced in yard would be great but is not required. Remmy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
