August 2024 update: The two of us have fallen in love with each other❤️ Took a little time and lots of work and patience but he is turning into such a wonderful boy! We go on adventures together once a week on my day off and take long walks at the park every morning. His favorite treat is definitely Peanut Butter ice cream! That tail of his just wags and wags while he’s eating his frosty paws lol. I really believe him and I were meant for each other and I’m so grateful that I have him. We’ve bonded so much in just a short amount of time! In the coming weeks I have a woman who specializes in behavioral issues coming to the house so we can work on being able to take Gunner off of his leash so him and I can go on a lot more adventures and discover lots of new things and places together.

Mr. Gunner is doing fantastic and is thriving with me in his new home! In less than 3 weeks he’s come so far in every area. I have a lifetime of experience with Labrador Retrievers. To me, they are the best breed of dog! I was elated to see a pure bred chocolate up for adoption and was honestly heartbroken someone would give up on him!!!! All he needed was the right person who was willing to play, love and exercise him all the time. Labs are a high energy dog and require lots and lots of attention. Gunner is extremely smart and very spoiled with me already lol.
