Honey-Adopted!

Honey-Adopted!

We are taking applications for Honey who will be available soon.  Her loving family is unable to keep her due to work and education schedules;  no other reason, they just want her to have a family that can provide the  time and attention that Honey deserves.

Honey was born on Halloween in 2021. She is a 10 months old pure bred pitbull. She follows simple commands such as sit, lay down, roll over, and come. She loves treats, going for a run, belly rubs, and walking in the creek. She is a very easy going dog and likes just about everything except her nails clipped. She completed two in-home training courses with CHQ Dogs. Honey is committed to pleasing her owner. She is great with children; she currently lives in a house with a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old. She also lives with two cats and enjoys the free range chickens when outside.  She needs a family that is able to give her full attention and space to run to release her puppy energy. However, she also loves to cuddle with cats and stay calm.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application.   After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.  Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
