Everything is going so well with Lady (FKA Candy). She reminded us of Lady from the Disney movie ‘Lady and the Tramp’ and she’s just so regal in everything she does. Lady is in love with my daughter, Avary, following her everywhere possible with tail wagging! Lady is less in survival mode every day as there is no nervous pacing, but she does still tend to hide somewhere she can still be seen and see us if startled or unsure, and allows us to ‘rescue’ her from her chosen hiding spot without any problem. Overall, she has a great appetite, and we hope to achieve a little weight gain since she was so malnourished. And, Lady’s bathroom habits are perfect, just like her! I hate to imagine the trauma Lady experienced during her first couple years, but she is fully embracing the teenage girl princess experience right along with her favorite person! 

Lady, formerly Candy, was adopted in January 2024.
