Here is the story with Skipper’s new name Lucy. The day I brought her home for her 2 week Slumber Party, Ruth my wife who is disabled with severe lung disease (not due to smoking) asked me if we keep her can we rename her? I responded I think we can so she, being a life long fan of Charlie Brown and already had a previous dog named Snoopy, wanted to call Skippy Lucy. I then was looking over Skippy’s papers we got with her and noticed her previous name was Lucy so that is when we knew we were meant to be Lucy’s forever home. She has been very well behaved in the house and with Ruth and all her added equipment. Lucy has only had a handful of accidents in the house and now none at all. She loves to have visitors come and give her more love. She is still a bit hard on the leash due to the fact that I think she has some beagle in her and we have a plethora of not-so-wild bunnies running everywhere so I give her some forgiveness for that. She still loves her snacks and to keep my seat warm when I get up.
Lucy, formerly Skipper, was adopted in January 2026.
