Charlotte Rose, who now goes by Lucy Lou is such a wonderful addition to our family.  She has been slow to trust that we are her humans and that we love her, but I think she’s starting to figure it out.  Initially, she would wake me up every hour or so to make sure I was there, and after an assuring love word and a belly rub, she would lay back down for another hour or so.  She’s past that now and sleeps through the night. She loves to be snuggled and actually hugs me, which is a wonderful feeling.

She’s amazing on her walks and does wonderful on her leash. Lucy has bonded with both of her sisters, Gracie and Presley.  Gracie is our oldest, we rescued in Texas in 2012 and is a great big sister and teacher.  Presley was rescued just a few weeks before Lucy Lou and they are both learning to love and trust us together. They are great pals and often nap together.

Lucy Lou, formerly Charlotte Rose, was adopted in September 2025.
