Willow

Willow

Well Patsy, NKA Willow, is going to be a project. She will be needing a very expensive dental surgery in the near future dependent on a normal ECG. Most of her teeth are rotten. The good news is that the vet declared her overall health to be good with the exception of weakened hind quarters probably due to the Miller keeping her in a small pen. Her weight is about 13 pounds, so she’s not a breed standard papillon by any means!

She remains quite stressed, and stress urinates frequently. She now lets me diaper her so she can be free in the house and undiaper her to go out in the yard. When I’m not home and at night she has kept her crate dry. She has had a couple spats with my young male dog, but no blood shed. I felt good that she stood her ground.
It may be some time before she’s a success story, but she is making strides.
Willow, formerly Patsy, was adopted in January 2023.
