Gwen-Adopted!

Gwen is a darling 5 month old Pomsky, currently in foster care.  She will be spayed on the Nov. 23rd and then will be ready for a home.  From her foster mom:  She loves everyone and everything and gives lots of face licks (kisses). She loves to play, very energetic, and bounces around the house at everyone. Belly rubs are one of her favorites as well asking to go outside to eat the snow and grass.  Since she’s a baby she still is chewing, so Gwen enjoys chewing on toys and kong balls with peanut butter inside.  Gwen chases cats, thinking they are toys so my cats hide from her.  She tries to be best friend with all the dogs and pounces on them. She is working on potty training  going outside for potty time and is getting better, but will need more work.  She has her accidents when she’s excited and doesn’t realize she need a to go out. She also comes  when you say come or click your tongue. She will come as well when you whistle. She’s pretty good to train!
As Gwen is in foster care, arrangements will be made for approved applications.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application.   After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.  Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

Gwen is kindly sponsored by: by former NCCR Resident, Romeo and his family, Charlie and Deann Sist , Suzanne and former NCCR residents, Tillie Mae and Bron Bron, Dave and Nancy Nuzzo, Joseph Incavo, Cathy and David Ferguson, and Mo and Andrew Broadbent in memory of Kofi. Thank you everyone!
