It’s hard to believe a year has passed! Penny has adjusted to our pack well. She is still my Velcro dog and still hesitates to let Don be her primary human when I’m not home which can be a challenge. Luckily, I’m able to work from home a majority of the time. We are still building her trust by having Don give her treats so she knows she can trust him. Now we need to add more exercise to work the treats off.  She really enjoys the park which we have plenty of nearby. She loves chasing the squirrels in our backyard and luckily she hasn’t caught one yet! She did chase off some deer once which was kind of scary but funny at the same time seeing a tiny dog scare off the deer. Now we double check before letting her out back. Hope all is well there and all the dogs gets great homes this holiday.
